Looking for Brain Cells

I not only use all the brains that I have, but all that I can borrow.
-- Woodrow Wilson, 28th president of US (1856 - 1924)

They're around here somewhere. Probably in the pile of papers scattered about my study floor.

I didn't get any cleaning done this weekend, except for a little laundry (ah, the comforts of Mundania). I did manage to get a little writing done. And some reading. Most importantly, I got the third of my three Spinetingler interviews put together and sent off to my lovely subject. More on that later.

Today is one of those rare days that I get pleasantly surprised with every so often - there is nothing written in today's little square in my daytimer. It is, however, National Boss's Day. So, if you have a boss, go tell that person exactly what you think of them. Oops, wait, no ... no, wait! Come back! Let me rephrase that ...

I have a new boss now. She's very nice and understanding - she actually sent me an email the other day that made me tear up a little. In a good way. And being new to me, she doesn't know yet about my secret life. She just knows I have kids who demand my time more than my job does.

I think today I'll enlighten her as I wish her a Happy Boss's Day ...

I'm going to try to find those brain cells now. Maybe I can channel them into something productive.

Read a book. It's good for you.

=) JB
