On the Road Again

Sans Willie, of course.

I'm thinking Mother and Dad might get a kick out of the fact that I'm writing this post at their house. Hi, you two, and thanks again for giving us a place to land last night.

We have a long day ahead of us. Two hours from here to take The Tall One to volleyball camp, then 5-1/2 hours home, and we all have to get up early tomorrow - the WGH has to work and The Boy has band camp. Little Bit will be the only one sleeping in tomorrow (she's staying with the folks this week).

Mother is making quiche (if I could describe the aroma without drooling all over the keyboard, you'd smell it too). We only have quiche at Mother's house, although I probably could make one at home if I had the burning desire to. Hmmm ... burning was probably a poor choice of words, there, considering my past kitchen experiences. I'm an excellent cook, really I am. I just get distracted too easily. I think that might be a curse for us writers.

For now I'm off to play travel agent. And Mom, of course. I'll wax philosophic again when we get back home.

In the meantime, read a book. It's good for you.

=) JB
