I really wanted to post something profoundly witty and intelligent today, but my brain is ensconced in my WIP and I must save all my wit and wisdom for that. Must. Write. Brilliantly.
So instead I'm going to extol the virtues of my Literary Siblings, namely J.T. Ellison, Brett Battles, and Sandra Ruttan. My triplets and our little sister have, along with J.T.'s fellow MIRA author Jason Pinter, co-founded The Class of 2007, for any and all crime writers who have debut releases due out next year (it’s gonna be a Killer Year, get it?). Sandra's been grandfathered in (her book, Suspicious Circumstances, comes out in November). The excitement is building. They're all going to be huge.
What this means for me, though, is that I have 65 books that I have to read before the end of the year so that I'll have the time and money to buy up all these new blockbusters scheduled to come out in 2007. Dang. I'd better get crackin'.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for my interview with Rhys Bowen. Yeah, I know, I said that yesterday, but wouldn't you rather be told twice than not at all?
Read a book. And start saving your pennies, 'cause the Class of 2007 is going to break the bank.
=) JB
