Bluebirds

Somewhere, over the rainbow ...

I've seen more bluebirds around our area this year than I remember seeing before. Pretty little things. A splash of color against a backdrop of earth tones. They make me think of spring. Or at least the promise of it.

February seems to have gone by in a rush. I can't help but think I've forgotten to do something - something important. Try as I might to rack this organizationally challenged brain of mine, however, I can't think of what it could be. Do you ever get that feeling? That little nagging in the back of your head that says, was I supposed to do ... something?

I'm approaching 40. Rather quickly, I might add. I've probably said before that I'm looking forward to 40 a whole lot more than I did 30. I'm in a better place now than I was then, although this milestone is going to have a whole lot more associated with it than others in my past. I have a lot of hope for this year.

For the moment, however, I need to concentrate on this week. The WGH has been on vacation - goes back to work tomorrow - and since I never get anything done when he's home I've declared the past 10 days a wash as far as getting any writing in. So, for today, I'm working on the interview I promised to send to a certain charming gentleman from California, a book review due to our editor, and catching up on my reading. If after all that I still have time (between errand-running with the WGH and cleaning out the fridge), I will open the file on the manuscript and make an effort to move forward.

Wish me luck. And read a book.

=) JB

Actually, Lonnie, we have another month until the "big day", but I'm thinking ahead! And I'm good with 40. Really.

Thanks, JT. I know you'll keep on me, and I shall do the same for you - Wonder Twin powers, activate!
